June 2017: Monthly issue

May 2017: Monthly issue
In this issue, Principal St. Claire provides May highlights, including the Pre-K Art Show, the K-5 Art Show, and the K-2 Music Program. She also reports on the 3rd grade Skype interview and studio tour with Meteorologist Tracy Butler. She puts out a call for volunteers for Field Day, announces the date for 5th grade "Clap Off" and reminds parents to let the school know if children will not be in attendance.

April 2017: Monthly issue
This month, Principal St. Claire shares news about Eco Night, a very successful celebration. She reports that 4th and 5th graders attended the final dress rehearsal for the musical GREASE: School Version, and shows students working on their Spanish language skills. Finally, she provides a save-the-date for the K-2 Music Program, a reminder on times for arrival supervision, and when to notify the office on after school transportation changes.

In this issue, Principal St. Claire reports that she and assistant Principal Ms. Roehrick have made over 100 positive parent calls this school year as part of PAWS. She provides a reminder about the next week's Parent Conferences and using the Attendance Line, and reports on the Third Grade Poetry Slam. She thanks the Lake Bluff PTO for sponsoring a recent motivational assembly, and the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Learning Disabilities Association and the Alliance for Excellence for teacher grants given in December and January. Finally, she provides a reminder of how parents are notified if the schools must be closed due to unsafe weather.

In this issue, Principal St. Claire provides December highlights. She notes that although this is a short month for LBES, students have accomplished a lot in their classrooms. She gives an update on the 4th grade animal studies unit, reports on the two PreK-2nd grade Winter Sing performances, and reminds parents about Spirit Wear Fridays and the resources available on the Parent Bookshelf. Finally, she wishes everyone a healthy and happy winter break.

She introduces the LBES Parent Bookshelf featuring a wide variety of titles to help guide and nourish children. The bookshelf was funded by the Alliance for Excellence. She provides some back-to-school reminders, and says, "...When all else fails, pick up a great book to read with your child!"
